One of our ex-beneficiaries, Ms Jessie Foo had organised a 20th Anniversary Celebration on 5 February 2015 at the Orchard Pan Pacific Hotel for her jewellery boutique, Yuli Fine Jewellery. To show her appreciation for the work of LCCS, she had kindly adopted LCCS for her event.
Our youth, Akira, Albert, Bernard, Chow Xun, Firdaus, Kieran, Seow Wen and Zhairoy came up with designs and Ms Jessie had her craftsmen to translate their designs into jewellery pieces. There were 9 jewellery pieces in total. These pieces were auctioned on the day of the event with the proceeds to be donated to LCCS.
This event had provided an opportunity for our youth to showcase their talents. At the event, the youth took up the challenge of modeling the jewellery pieces on the runway, with all of them being their first time! This certainly had helped to boost their self-confidence.
We were glad to have Mr Dave Kang, the School Counsellor from Greenview Secondary and family members of Zhairoy attending the event to give support to the youth.
LCCs would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to Yuli Fine Jewellery and Ms. Jessie Phua, and all our stakeholders and youth who had generously given their time to this event, especially the effort in designing the pieces.
